Ask Rei Anything
August 12, 2004- A few more than last time, but that just means I get to help more. Who's first?
Oddness and the wacky, scary things our brains can come up with...
These questions are for both you and YTF...
Sometimes, I feel the need to bathe in blood. I say this outloud to my mother and older sister; and they merely say "that's nice" or "you do that". This perplexes me. I mean, they're encouraging me to go on killing sprees... hmm... Obviously I'm not going to actually do anything, but I'd like your opinion... Would you go on killing sprees if you had your families' permission, Rei or YTF?
Oh yeah, not too long ago as I was reaching for the toothpaste box in the bathroom of my families' home and suddenly, as I'm opening it I'm stung by a bee... That was inside of the box. This also perplexes me greatly, after running around for a while holding my finger from the surprise and pain I felt from being stung out of nowhere, I puzzled over this. Honestly, where in the world did the bee come from? The bathroom window is rarely, if ever opened, the box was closed, and it was fine the day before.... Was it waiting for me or something? Please help answer my questions, they consume me. Sorta.
Personally, I imagine that your family doesn't really believe you'd do such a thing. EVERYBODY thinks about doing things that they know are wrong and would never, ever really do in real life (both Mr. Y.T.F. and myself have a few thought processes like this, too, but neither of us wants to share them), and I believe that either they realize it or think that your 'need' is too farfetched to be real.
As for whether either of us would go on killing sprees, assuming absolutely NO retribution, me, never. Mr. Y.T.F., I really don't think so either, but I imagine that there are a few idiots that he'd simply like to pound into a bloody mess with a blunt object, but perhaps that's a 'moot' point. Wounds GENERALLY heal, but once you've taken a person's life, it can't come back. Both of us would feel pretty uneasy about something like that unless it's a person who seems so evil that nothing less would work as a punishment.
About the bee, it might be possible that it was waiting somehow. Bees and other insects (flying or not) have a weird tendency to appear in places that you wouldn't expect to find accessible. Also, insects have a greater mobility than humans, and can remain less visible due to their smaller size; it might have simply flown up there and decided to take refuge in the box.
I hope this helps, and feel free to write back sometime!
Don't let a crush get crushed!
Well, its been a while since I got on to the Y.T.F.S.W.T. but I got a 3rd email for ya, and a name for myself this time too! Well anyway, there's a girl I have a crush on and I can't decide whether or not to tell her.
Reasons I don't want to.
1) She isn't sure if she wants a boyfriend for the rest of her high-school life.
2) I'm going to join the military when I graduate and I won't be in touch very easily.
3) She is a very good friend, and I don't want to make things 'awkward' for her.
Reasons I want to.
1) I'm a guy in high-school, need I say more?
Any advice on the situation would be welcome, but if you got nothing, it at least feels better to rant about it.
On a side note, I saw a post on a forum made by Mr. YTF, too bad my computer froze before I could save it and now I can't find it again. ^^;;
To a combination of intelect and beauty rarly seen,
Greyswindle (I don't care if you people think its an odd name, read Roger Zelzney's Amber series and you might figure out where I got it.)
Hmm... Well, a crush can be a tricky thing to deal with. However, if the odds of anything becoming of it are so low (You do NOT have to follow this advice if you don't agree with me), I would suggest that
you leave it alone. I admit that perhaps not explaining your crush will make you feel a bit bad, but if you can't stay in touch with her for very long, things may well get a lot worse. It's possible that you may break up simply because of the incredible distance (because of the military plans, you might see a 'Dear John' letter that way), and break-ups really suck.
Also, if she doesn't seem interested in a boyfriend, it might not be a good idea to say that you'd like to be one, as she might refuse, which ALSO sucks. If your only argument for it involves your hormones, I can't really suggest that you bring up your crush. Not only is going by your hormones a bad idea in the first place, if things don't work out, you might lose her
as a friend, too. There are probably better candidates, given the problems you've mentioned about your friend.
I realize that subjects like this are quite subjective, but remember that I don't personally know either of you, and thus can only use logic to advise you- you've got your heart too, which you should listen to. Thanks for the compliment, and I hope this helps you out!
Seven questions, all welcome.
Hi, Rei!
I know, it's annoying getting so many questions from me. In case you couldn't tell, it's MK&MF again. I noticed that last time I wrote, you seemed overwhelmed by my questions. I've never asked so many questions of one person at once. I'm sorry, and if I am indeed getting annoying, this will be my last e-mail. I just have 7 Q's this time, because I don't want to fry your brain. AGAIN. A woman with beauty and brains like yourself is hard to come by, so I REALLY don't want to strain you. Here are the Q's. I will TRY to keep them short.
1. Eiken is going to be licensed by Media Blasters. These are the same people who brought us MOUSE. Is this a coincidence, or does the MB corporation jump on the chance to license any anime that has women with EXTREMELY large... ahem... features? (I was too embarrassed to use the real word.)
2. Is Kirika available?! Please tell me!!!
3. Why, oh, WHY did they have to cancel the "Mega Man" cartoon after ONLY THREE SEASONS?!! (the third season was more of an episode than a season.)
4. I think on one of the pages of the site, your boss, YTF, mentioned an .avi for something called "F3". My question is... what the HECK is "F3"???
5. My best friend is moving. Bad timing, because I'm going into Senior year in High School. How am I supposed to survive without my friend when most people in the school consider me an outcast for my hobbies(which are video games, anime & manga)?!
6. What the heck is this Azumanga Daioh that YTF says is his favorite manga?
7. Has YTF heard of "One Piece" or "Hikaru No Go"? (good mangas in my opinion)
Thanks for your time. I will now take my leave. I may not be the first to say this, but it HAS to be said again; your brains are exceeded only by your beauty; and I'm sure I'm not the only guy that thinks so. May the power of the light be with you, and may your IQ rise even farther beyond Stephen Hawking's(my honest opinion is that you're smarter than him)!
The Mizuki, Kirika & Mifuyu Fan
PS: Tell Kirika I said hi!!!
Okay, first, you're NOT annoying me. If I seemed overwhelmed last time, it was because you weren't the only one who had sent me quite a few questions. I know now that I should be used to possibly receiving more questions than I might think I can handle, and that I should perhaps try to not sound so disgusted.
However, that is not the issue, and I'm happy to answer your questions- that's what I said I was here for, and that is what I'll do. Believe me- I want to! Here we go!
Answer 1: To tell you the truth, this had occurred to Mr. Y.T.F. as well, once he remembered that they were ALSO responsible for bringing the U.S. 'Jungle de Ikou' (There's a girl named 'Mii'... She almost makes ME look flat!) However, yes, I'm beginning to think that Media Blasters purposely goes out of their way to obtain non-hentai big-breast anime titles. Did you notice that the license was obtained only two weeks after episode 2's release? I don't think that that is a coincidence; somebody knew about this series.
And really, I can't blame them. No one will admit it (except for Mr. Y.T.F.), but many, many people will buy into a series like Eiken.
Answer 2: I imagine that she's available, but I have my doubts as to her interest. Kirika has always struck me as a loner-type in that regard. However, you ARE welcome to try.
Answer 3: It's hard to say, really. Perhaps there wasn't enough interest in it, or perhaps, like Eiken, it ran into financial problems. Unfortunate things like either one of those happen more than you might think...
Answer 4: 'F3', also known as 'Frantic, Frustrated and Female', is a hentai movie following a girl called Hiroe Ogawa in her attempts to... you know, that, I think Mr. Y.T.F. would prefer you to learn on your own... It's supposed to be cute and funny, in addition to being hentai. It's hard to find nowadays due to its age, but it's findable online, be it on file-sharing or in an online store.
Answer 5: Oh, no... This sort of thing sucks. Mr. Y.T.F. has had the same thing happen to HIM with intensified frequency over the years. I know that this may not sound fun, but if no one enjoys the activities that you enjoy, it may be best to keep a low profile and stay out of the way of the morons that can't accept you for your hobbies (by 'morons', I mean the pricks who feel it right to nag and make fun of people who aren't exactly like them). However, it may be worth it to try to seek out another person who's interested in your hobbies.
Answer 6: 'Azumanga Daioh' is a manga and anime that follows six main schoolgirls and two main teachers throughout their everyday lives. As humorless as that sounds, somehow, Kiyohiko Azuma did something VERY right, and managed to make it one of the funniest, most endearing, and most popular mangas and animes that humanity has seen. Truthfully, and I know that Mr. Y.T.F. has said something like this, but if a series that has almost no fanservice and a lot of small busts manages to not only be his favorite series, as well as have one of his favorite anime girls (Tomo Takino) in it as well, it must
be a very, very, very good series that just about anybody should see, no matter the means.
Answer 7: He says that he owns two volumes of 'One Piece' and likes them, but he's not aware of 'Hikaru no Go'.
Thank you for your questions, and as said, please send as many as you like! Also, thank you for the kind compliments, and I was able to talk with Kirika- she says 'hi'.
Well, it's bound to happen eventually...
Why isn't there a G-Cup Teacher Rei gallery on Mr. Y.T.F's site?
I think that the major reason why is that he doesn't have the entire series yet, regardless of the fact that episode 3 is part of the series in the same way that Mr. Y.T.F. considers 'V.G. Neo' to be a part of the Variable Geo series, that is to say,
barely at all due to the art style's changes (although in his case, there's the story, too). He DOES say that he's going to make one sometime, though, perhaps regardless of that fact. I'm just glad that he can't post 'those' kinds of pictures here... (Oh, as a side note, he's probably not
going to post them ANYWHERE, due to problems he's faced before.) I hope this helps.
And here I thought only Craig Kilborn did this!
Err, yeah, could you do this under "anonymous"? Thanks, I'm emailing this using my sister's email address because I don't have one. Thanks.
Okay, I just have 5 questions, pretty simple.
1. Have you ever played Chrono Trigger, Tales of Phantasia, Earthbound, or Final
Fantasy 6?
2. Have you ever played any SNES games?
3. Why must I walk through waves of pointless shit, nasty porn, and disgusting
hentai to find good roms (only for older systems for games that are no longer
sold)?
4. Why is my email such a bitch?
5. ^_^ Can I have some more pics from your show?
Ah, another video game fan. I'm always happy to hear from people like you!
Answer 1: Actually, yes, I've played all four. They're quite good, and I must say that Earthbound had such an original atmosphere to it (being set in contemporary times AND LOOKING AS SUCH), which is something I'd like to see more RPGs try.
Answer 2: I've played quite a few, yes. I'm beginning to wonder how much longer my Super Famicom (our version of your Super Nintendo) will last, though, given Mr. Y.T.F.'s problems with his Super Nintendos due to their incredible age, though.
Answer 3: It's because you're probably searching in the wrong places. I'm aware that ROMs are increasingly more difficult to find, but if you know a few certain places to look, that's not even an issue.
Answer 4: Well, perhaps if you slap it around a little it'll do what you want it to.
Answer 5: I don't mind that, but since Mr. Y.T.F. is working on this, I'll just let him take care of it, if that's okay.
I hope that I've answered your questions well, and I'll send you those sites if you ask me.
Video game help of a different nature.
Hey, Rei. It's The "Miss Yuri Fanatic" Aw, cool... I can just say "Hi (name of whom I'm speaking to), It's M.Y.F."
Anyway, I wanted to know "Where Will You Be November 9th?" As like Mr. Y.T.F., I too enjoy FPS games. Like, HALO2 ...
"On November 9th, 2004, at exactly 1:20pm... the world will never be the same again..."(I thought of the quote myself...) the official HALO2 website... found at:
(site is here) has the countdown. Getting Back...
Ok, On one hand... HALO2 will be released Nov.9 and I'm gonna be RIGHT FRIGGIN' THERE waiting... This is gonna be so freakin' big, there's gonna be a line like 5mi. long at every
Wal-Mart in the COUNTRY sitting there, waiting for the precise moment HALO2 will be released. On the other hand, I could just buy the game online, not worry about the line(s), AND,
get the special "Themes" disk. I think it's called "themes" I dunno. It's called SOMETHING, you can be sure of that. But, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! I'm torn between waiting in the
line, buying it off the shelf and knowing I spent my hard earned (not really) money that I've earned by then, taking the risk that they might be out of copies for a long time if I don't get one,
AND, buying it online, having it delivered directly to the house, and knowing I have that special disk, taking the risk that it could be lost in the mail, and having the financial problem of getting
the money in the first place to buy it online. I REALLY DO hope you CAN help me here. This is the fate of my life hanging in the balance.(literally) I MUST KNOW.
I also found a site that enables me to E-mail Yuri like I E-mail you. THEN I HAD to find out about a problem. Them and their stupid plan to host a site for free, never having to pay the electric
bill for the comp. landed the guy in prison, and the site is VERY gone indeed. So I got nothing. >Sigh< I tried. Up to you again. Sorry...
Hey! New idea! Is there anything you wanna ask ME? I mean, there's something you must want to know that only a guy would know. Go ahead. Ask me. Put it down in the site answer and I'll email back.
Ok, well... I think I talked enough. 2 hours of typing....Ugggghhhhh. And now I'm tired from not sleeping now that it's 6:24am here. Talk to you later, Rei.
I hear a lot about Halo. Well, let me think here... Mr. Y.T.F. had a similar dilemma with a game called 'Phantom Brave'. However, much like he ended up doing, I would suggest that you pre-order it (or, in your case, buy it online).
Really, if you don't have the money to pay for it online, it's not going to be any easier to buy it off the shelf. Also, since I do know that Halo is VERY popular and widely considered to be one of the best FPSes ever, it's not going to be easy to buy
it off the shelf due to both shipping schedules being as they are, and the fact that you WILL NOT be the only one who wants it. Neither I nor Mr. Y.T.F. has EVER lost anything in the mail, so I wouldn't worry about that, either. And besides- a little bonus never hurt anybody, I say!
Now for Miss Yuri... I'm sorry to hear that you've lost your means of contact, and it sucks how it happened. I'll try harder to get her to reach you. It may be a little difficult because of her oft-incredible distance from Earth, though.
Ha-ha, you'd like me to ask YOU something, would you? Okay. I'll try a few questions.
My first question: Why is it that you suppose I've been getting so many compliments lately?
My second question: Why do you think that the company that animated my movie saw fit to allow me to have as much motion in my body as a stungun victim?
My third question: Do you think there's a reason why all school nurses in anime have to be total sluts?
To the point, I see.
All right so lets get down to business.
1) What is the meaning of life?
2) Why is anime not real?
3) Why am I neither completely in this world or out of it?
4) Now here comes the really important one; why are you bothering to read this?
Now that those questions are over why do you answer these mails and why does
YTF bother with the site? I mean I am really glad he does but why?
Hm... Interesting questions. Let's answer them!
Answer 1: I'd think that it's basically to have fun while not hurting other people in the process.
Answer 2: As unfortunate as it is, it's true, and as such, I can't leave my world, this site, or the anime I was in. I basically exist due to imagination figments, perverts, and an inexplicable fan of my anime... It's a weird feeling, let me tell you!
Answer 3: That's because you have one leg in the dimensional rift and the other leg outside of it, silly!
Answer 4: Well, you sent the e-mail... It's only fair that I read it, right?
Answer 5 (Me and the e-mails): I guess I just answer the e-mails as something fun to do. I don't have much to do besides teach, so playing on the Internet seemed fun... And then I found, in one of my e-mails, a request to answer e-mails on this site... And here I am today!
Answer 6 (Mr. Y.T.F.'s site): In a similar vein, it's something for him to do besides play video games all day (which, he admits he generally does anyway). He enjoys writing, which he gets to do, and he enjoys fanservice, which he gets to put up. Also, it seems that he's had a few rewards as a result of the site. Some have been direct (a few games, some pictures), others indirect (learning about new anime, IM friends, interesting sites).
So, I guess he just does it for fun, and because of the help he gets from some people, he believes that nice people shouldn't be let down.
I hope this helps; sorry if it doesn't. I'm always open to more e-mails!
Please let me hear more of your advice, Miss Rei.
Thank you Rei! Now lead me back to the Yuka Takeuchi Fan!
