| | Kiwibonga | I think that's because the pages start at post number 0 of a thread and therefore if you set 30 posts per page it'll count the number of posts as 31*number of page (0 to 30 instead of 1 to 30), therefore there'll be a 1 post offset!
Thanks a lot for telling me about the bug, I will fix it as soon as possible! ----------- Happiness. |

Heh. I sucked at PE and I was proud of it. When we were all playing football, I developed strange elaborate plays where the goal is to lose.
When we played soccer, if anyone passed to me I would kick straight ahead regardless of which direction I was facing. After doing this only a few times, no one ever passed to me again. If I just ran around and pretended like I cared about the game, I still got participation marks and never had to do anything.
And you don't even want to know what I did for the weight-lifting parts. -----------

| | Kiwibonga | I cheated in weight lifting all the time... I pretended I could lift my own weight with my arms! (Well... I could with my legs...)
This year I put the starting blocks 10 feet farther than they usually are for the 80 meter race. I got the best time (10.21 seconds) -- but the teacher said she might have started the clock too late because a 2 second improvement for me and all the people who ran after me in one week isn't something she's seen in her whole career!
What sucks about the french system is that it's not participation that counts, it's sheer performance. I managed to get an average PE score for the first trimester, and since it counts as part of my end of year exam, I'm kind of relieved...
Mmm... Now we're doing badminton... I've tried to cheat by calling outs when there weren't, but it didn't work.. I just said I had a sight problem because my contact lenses aren't strong enough, so the other guy said "Oh, ok, sorry, but it's still not out, right?" I just answered "What the hell do you care, it's 12 points to 3 already!"
Mmm... It's tough being alive! ----------- Happiness. |

| *wonders how this thread fits in this forum*...
I was good in PE, always have been. PE is a class that I never skipped on purpose. It's the only time in school where you get to run around, shout, talk all you want and you're encouraged to do so. Team sports for example, the key word is communication while some teachers throw pieces of chalk at you in English class if you whisper... ( oh yes it happened) I never understood those who disliked PE. ----------- Suppo, the One and Only. | | |

| I think people who dislike PE don't like the fact that they automatically become the teacher's bitches, being told to run around and do push ups and all kinds of crazy physical challenges. In high school it was my favorite subject because not only did it keep me in shape, but all I had to do was, like Hyena pointed out, just show up and merely appear busy (plus the yelling at fellow students). Also, when basketball time came there were other players already available to run with immediately in contrast to after I stopped taking PE and had to wait until my friends' schedules cleared up.
Judged by performance rather than participation? Gotta love that Darwin mentality, eh? -----------

Darwin can kiss my unexercised ass.
I think PE is more fun to cheat at than most classes because there's not so much of an advantage to it, it's just cheating for the sake of cheating. Like if you're playing monopoly by yourself and you steal all the $500 bills. (I actually have a funny story about cheating in monopoly. I'll have to tell you about it some time.)
But I never really cheated (unless you count that soccer thing) because I didn't really care much. I tried to lose more often than not. I treated the weight-lifting equipment like a playground. (Literally. I slid down some of the equipment like a slide) In Badminton, the teacher would always pair us off. I always had my best friend to play against so we always played our own personal variant of Badminton: Guffufel Ball.
Rules for Guffufel Ball:
1. When hitting the birdie, always yell out the name of a Japanese company. (Eg: Suzuki, Honda, Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, Pepsi-Cola)
2. Make up the other rules and change them as you go along. Hitting the birdie over the net will be a "Grand Slam" and worth 4000 points one time, but later it might be a "Full House" and worth 200 points. Hitting it out of bounds might be called a "Bullseye" and be worth 700000 points. We would just announce whatever it is we just did and how many points it was worth. Of course we never kept track of who had the most points. Oh well.
Guffufel Ball's rules can apply to many other games too. -----------

| I remember PE, haven't had t do that for oh.. almost 6 years, i hated that with a passion, and not because the excercise but because my teacher was a total prick, he would point people out and shit and then one day smeone said something on the lines of "XXXX is a fucking bastard" and he overheard it and reported the kid to the principal, of the Irony. I remember weight lifting, our goals were supposed to be 75% of our body weight, that worked to like 150 pounds or so for me (i was over 6 feet tall and not exactly the lightest build) i lacked (well still sort of) the massive uper body strength, i could bear press 550+ 10-15 reps but id be damned if i could do anywhere near the target with my arms. PE teachers always seem to be there for your failures and not your successes eh, we gt all the weights available on the bear press, something like 600 and i did like 10 reps then the teacher comes and expects me to do 10 more cuz he missed the last 10, then he made a comment about too much weight etc etc if i couldnt do the reps, ass hat. anyways back to being sick (I'd rather be doing exams again) -----------
