Well, the year is just about wrapping up. It seemed to go by quite quick. Through this year, we've seen a relaunch and a completely new Kiwibonga Advance, we've had some new members (myself included), and lost a few oldbies. But most of all, we had inane conversations about meaningless crap.
Around the end of December (I think), I found this site, still in its tag-board phase, and was completely sucked in. Since then, I went from total n00b, to the top-poster and uber staff-God. This message board was a big factor in my life this year and has damaged helped influence my personality and views. So I'm glad I found this site and met you bunch of crazy folks. So here's to all of you, for getting me addicted to message boards and thusly ruining my life. :P
Well, theres my reflection on this passing year. I'm curious to hear all of yours, and your favorite highlights from the year. -----------

| Lesee...
1) Ended a four and a half year relationship. (This was a big plus, as demented as that sounds)
2) Redesigned my site about sixty times (this ended up as a plus)
3) Went back and forth with posting on sites, stopped going to three or four message boards altogether before finally coming back here with a (slow) bang.
Hmm..
4) I beat Grand Theft Auto: Vice City with 100% twice.
Yep, my year was pretty damn boring. Ooh... one more.
5) Participated in and finished National Novel Writing Month. -----------

In 2003;
1. With the help of a few talanted people, I started and finished making Mock 2, a doom levelset with the emphasis on stupidity. (Note: If anyone actually wants the wad, they require the zdoom engine. Contact me for more information)
2. I lost my internet connection for about two months. (Mock2 was about ready when my connection died and it was finished soon after it came back)
3. I gained interest in Dungeons&Dragons, and without internet to distract me I learned most of the rules pretty quickly (which I needed to because I didn't know anyone willing to be a Dungeon Master for me. I became one myself so my friends would be able to play)
4. I bought a new computer.
5. I started my comic, which quickly became very popular with both the doom community and (apparently) this one. In one of my IRC channels, people quote the comic like ZVGQs were once quoted here. "Help! Lasers of the Irag it is! Doomed my self!"
6. I started work as a projectionist at my theatre, and so far seem to be doing quite well. (Now if I can just get rid of a few box office shifts every week or so...)
7. I was reunited with two old friends who I hadn't seen in a while (one I hadn't seen in more or less a year, and one I hadn't seen in seven!)
That's everything I can think of. I guess it was a pretty good year. -----------

I guess that's what I'd like to do, though, so yeah. Rock on, dudes. -----------

| I had a pretty uneventful year...
I guess the biggest thing that happened was in June, when we got the new color machine at work [I run Xerox machines part-time after hours at an office building]. That damn thing hasn't worked consistently since the day we got it, and has caused me to put in a whole lot more overtime than I care to remember.
Other than that...it was a pretty good year, I guess. -----------

Here's my two cents opinion
this year? well...
(and these are not necessarily in order)
I formed a rock band and we sucked but in our own private repetition studio so it didn't really matter. Then I lost a guitarist and the drummer of said rock band. Then I got a new guitarist and passed about 4 drummers to finally end up sending back the new guitarist and finally finding a new drummer.
I got an Xbox and all those sleepless nights that come with it.
I finished my major in filmmaking studies (I think cause I'm still waiting for a couple of grades).
I found a girl, moved in with said girl.
I got a job as a cook in a restaurant (where we're not getting our pays recently) and that allowed for me to get a new guitar and a new amp.
and that's about it... ohh, and I quit skateboarding.

| This past year for me has been a year of getting raided.
Early January: my sanity gets raided by NBA Courtside 2002's little quirks
Late January: my morale gets raided when the Oakland Raiders (of all people) get undeservingly humiliated in the Super Bowl
February: my sleep schedule gets raided by school (though this happens every semester)
Early March: my sanity gets raided again by my need to draw stuff
Late March: Iraq gets raided by the US army
Late March: my ears get raided by the huge letdown known as Meteora
Throughout the Summer: my bank account gets raided by my friends' need to see many movies only at night rather than in the afternoon when ticket prices are lower
September: my sleep schedule gets raided by school again
Late October: SoCal gets raided by fire
Throughout November: my energy gets raided by eating too much turkey ham (topped off by real turkey on Thanksgiving)
Mid-November: my intelligence, game library, and bank account get raided by Electronics Boutique when my attempt to trade in a couple Gamecube games for the new Mario Kart only knocks a mere $4.50 off the price
Right before Christmas: my computer, mostly due to a faulty power source, gets raided by itself, rendering me computer-less let alone internet-less at home for the rest of the year (which is why I haven't been on lately)...and to think, I just got DSL--hopefully Windows XP on this new hard drive will save me in time for the new year
May there be better luck and maybe revenge for me in 2004. -----------

You take them for college credit, so you don't have to take those classes in college.
Then you can take Cheese Appreciation or something. -----------

It just doesn't make any sense to me.
Then again, I'm going into one of the easiest majors (Computer Science, so long as you stay out of the Game Industry (IE. Digipen) you have some pretty easy classes, unless you're totally programming-illiterate), so mabye I don't feel the need to get all my work done right away. -----------

Well, at school you have two choices: regular classes with the bottom-rung, lowest-of-the-low idiots, or AP (now with high level idiots).
In the spirit of new years, I've been reading some of the old post from over a year ago, and I have noticed a progression in myself over the past year. Over the course of one year, I've become more critical with my grammar, spelling, and capitalization as well as learning how to use the apostophe key. I apologive for my previous n00bishness (Is that the right term? n00bishness? n00bism? n00ablity?). -----------

AP classes are supposed to be "college level courses." Basically you just take a more advanced course of a subject you would take anyways (like Chemistry) then take a big test in May. Then if you pass said test, you waon't ahve to take that class in college. -----------

The scrollbars aren't there as a gimmick. The Strong Bad monitor graphic is a specific size and doesn't stretch, so any text that doesn't fit needs to be scrolled. It's incidental.
Also, does it seem weird to anyone that this guy hasn't been here in months and he shows up just now to insult someone? -----------
