Chaos: I saw this kind of topic somewhere else *cough*acmlmsimadamnlurker*cough* and I'm bored so I'm going to start this here too.

Basically I got Chaos as a shorter version of my other online name, ChaosTheorySD. Back some time ago, I was trying to think up a good screen name, and the words Chaos and Theory just seemed to go well together. I swore I had heard it somewhere before, but I thought it had something to do with the downfall of society or something... It wasnt for awhile that I found out its actually a mathematical property. The SD part just stands for San Diego, the city I have lived in for most of my life.

So how about everyone else? And if your name doesnt stand for anything, just make something up. :P

Damn Crazy Bastard. :P Well, I figure that's what these reverse-sequential letters could stand for now (thank you UkuHawa--remember him?), but like Chaos my username is shortened from something else. If you're familiar with my AIM name, art gallery, or website, you'd know the full alias is DC Baller. DC stands for Daly City, my birthplace and off-again-on-again hometown, and the "baller" comes from my love of basketball. If it sounds corny, that's because I came up with it in high school when I needed a stage name upon considering becoming a rapper. I actually could've become a legit rapper, but I quit before I could really get into it because I didn't have much support or motivation, as well as general stage fright (plus I can't freestyle for shit, only write).

Here's my two cents opinion

Suppo, Ohilou, Beaubbyt.... so many names yet my latest is the one that is gonna stick because I have decided so... the first one was beaubbyt, why? because a few years back with my best friends we went on vacation and went surfing in the morning, and got drunk at night (rinse/repeat). Only during the day, we usually had nothing much to do so we would watch all the stupid soaps that aired. Being in a vegetative state helped our already mingled and salt water washed brains to call each other by the names of the characters of said soaps, that's how I got stuck with Bobby at first. Then, after long exposure to sunrays our brains fried and we decided that we should try and write our new names in the most complicated manner imaginable so that when you tell someone, you inevitably have to spell it out for them... that's how I ended up with beaubbyt (pronounced like bobby in french).

I told this story cause the story for suppo is not as much a pile of bullshit interesting, but if you must know it's because I used to say "supposedly" (in french, which is "supposement" all the time) all the time and some friends began calling me that (Suppo Zement)... That was my msn alias for a while too.

Old story, but:

I was watching NYPD Blue, back when it was still cool, and they were looking for a guy with a license plate that read "DRFUNKY". Thusly, I was like: "D00D DAT WUD B A COOL SCREEN NAME" and tried it. It was taken, so I had to go with DrFunky7. After a while, everyone who knew me as DrFunky7 ended up calling me "Doc Funky", and thus a legend was born!

...
Or not.

Listen up,

MarkVega came from a character I created a looong time ago, on paper, before there even was INTERNET. Some random reporter guy in a comic that would never be, called him Mark...Vega.

The first time I had to create a username, ...that's what I used.

Man, I hope I rocked your world with this story.

I was one of these internet less computer geeks. You know... The kind that just stays on the computer and plays Worms and Destruction Derby... All my friends at school had the internet, they were all like "OMG LOL THE CHAT ROOM YESTERDAY WAS SO COOL!!111 MIKE KEPT TYPING 'hello' AND PRESSING ENTER EVERY TWO SECONDS SO WE COULDN'T SEE WHAT WE WERE WRITING!!11" -- Needless to say, I wanted to be part of the fun... So one day my dad said "let's buy a modem!" And I said "OMG GET AMERICA ONLINE! ITS TEH BEST!" (AIM didn't exist yet!) and so... I started asking people their internet names and they were all so cool, there was Crazeegrl019293 and Sweetie29939209, bigmou9323828 and skateman193884489894892828!! I wanted a name too, but something original without numbers! So I start looking around in the room and I see what? A triceratops dinosaur doll! My brother, who was 5 years old at the time, had called it "Kiwibonga," and apparently the triceratops's son was a gorilla named "Kiwibonga-ha" -- Needless to say, I had found my new username.

My brother is... 11 years old now, I just hope he doesn't sue one day :/

When Chrono Trigger came out, I really liked Magus. He was just a bad ass. So when I got AOL, I got a Janus based screen name(it sounded, and still sounds, more like a name than Magus). I had it for about a year when a friend typoed my name as Janux(she may've been drunk). I kind of liked that.

I altered it a few times(two x's, a G instead of a J at one point, ick) before finally settling on Janux again in 99.

And now I use Janux almost exclusively.

Sweet Giant Lamprey of Sante Fe!

My Username has quite the history. It all started out in this old game( now you have to pay for it. god i hate sony online) I used to play, called: Infantry: Online. Now, as almost all online games do, I needed an alias. the common ones, New_One, Daemon_of_the_light. Then i finally came upon the right one: Angelofdoom9358. It took me a while, and the numbers were random, but the concept suited me, and it has stuck for a few years. On a side note, i once found some retard who copied my name, except they changed the last letter to "7". I PK'ed his n00b @$$ so badly for usurping it.

Well, as long as I'm here at my friend's house . . . {posts}

My nickname has a really stupid origin. I used to make a lot of prank phone calls. Most of the time, I made up what I was going to say as the phone rang. Once, I called the operator from a pay phone and couldn't come up with anything interesting, so when she answered I laughed an evil maniacal laugh at her that was so loud it filled the school hallway.
A friend said they should call me Hyena from now on. The name wouldn't have stuck, except that we started a really stupid organization that we called the Green Hamster Terrorist Group, and every member was required to have an animal codename.

My first internet nick however, was Dr. Beefstupid. And there's a much different and more lengthy story behind that one.

Muh, I dunno.

I think it was the result of being a pubescent 14-year-old who'd just seen a full-size picture of Yuka in an old Gamefan magazine.

So that's not Yuka Takeuchi in my user picture. I have a right to use a picture of a big-busted nurse instead!

A simple mispronuciation led me to think of using Nylar. Now, who can guess what word it comes from?

I don't know. Is there a five-letter word that starts with N that means bumping year-old threads?

SPLOOOSH!
(That was the sound of the thread being flushed)
