| I actually saw this the day it came out; I'm just...slow. I also didn't realize that this was the sequel to Desperado until I stopped to think about it just as the film began; again, I'm...slow. All I can say is Robert Rodriguez is a crazy motherfucker (for those who don't know, he directed this film's prequels as well as the Spy Kids movies). Antonio Banderas may have gotten top billing in the credits, but this movie from start to finish was all about Johnny Depp, who literally gave an eye-popping performance. Seeing Enrique Iglesias as a badass character firing off guns was funny, and either he's really tall or Antonio's just short. I saw 2 Fast 2 Furious but I didn't realize how hot Eva Mendez is until now; like I said, I'm...slow.
The timing of this movie's release is interesting: right before Mexico's Independence Day which was on the 16th. In short, despite leaving me confused at times this movie kicked my ass.
