Ong-Bak, definitely a must see if you like martial arts movies. I WILL write a review soon (saw it last year in Europe). And the movie was originally released in 2002 in most of east asia where it was very warmly welcomed. |

A martial arts movie revolving around the Muay Thai fighting style, though no tiger uppercuts or eyepatches are to be expected. Very brutal, with a simple story that is told surprisingly well thanks primarily to Tony Jaa's killer work. It plays out a lot like a Hollywood movie, but fortunately doesn't really feel like one too much. PROTIP: hit your nearest theater now, or look for it on DVD since it's actually a couple years old already. Good stuff. |
