11/05/2004 07:15:03AM | I'm starting to get used to the idea of Bush winning the elections... I saw him talking yesterday and they were saying that he wants to be a mount rushmore president :P
He laid out his plans and I don't know what happened but he was very different from before the election, he seemed to be in control, and a lot of his plans were the plans that kerry laid out during the debates.. So yeah huh... I'm not as pissed as I was initially... Hmm, funny thing someone sent me: Elections by IQ But hum... A 90 average IQ seems pretty low for a developed country... I wonder if they're registered voters' IQs... |
11/05/2004 06:19:24AM | Don't get me wrong, people. I want to care about politics. If I lived in the States and David Palmer from 24 was running I'd damn well vote for him. |
11/04/2004 04:49:51PM | What's the difference between a Bush victory and a Kerry victory?
The color of the balloons. |

| Doc Funky 11/04/2004 07:53:43AM | Quoting EVERYONE EVER:
HONK HONK ELECTION GRR Bah. I don't see why people care so much. Hyena's got it right. No matter who you pick, the outcome's the same. The only difference is which half of the population will be pissed off when the results are announced. ALSO: Quoting Kiwibonga: Second time there's electronic voting, second time Bush wins with the whole world in disbelief... People are upset, sure, but I haven't heard anyone saying they're actually surprised. ALSO #2: Somehow, if Kerry won, I doubt you'd see Republicans speculating about VOTING MACHINE FIXING OMG D00D. Seriously. |
11/04/2004 06:24:18AM | As a Canadian, I feel I can sum up my position on the whole thing in three words:
I don't care. I mean, from everything I've read about the election (mostly from comedy sites like somethingawful.com) I'd say you guys were screwed either way. Welcome to my world. Canada's Prime Ministers since 1980 have been: Joe Clark Pierre Trudeau John Turner Brian Mulroney Kim Campbell Jean Chretien Paul Martin Clark, Turner, and Campbell were all Prime Minister for less than a year (!). The rest were millionaire lawyers from Quebec before leading the country. Think about this. Just about all of Canada's leaders over the last 20+ years were rich and lawyers. Does that spell "Bright Future"? Things have been kind of spiralling downward. Every election I'm less and less inclined to vote because what's the point? In America you have two jerks to vote for, either one of which will ruin your country. In Canada we have about five. It's hard to pick the lesser evil when the thought of any of the candidates in power makes you shudder. |
11/04/2004 04:11:41AM | Indeed. Florida too.
I'm pretty confident there was vote fraud... All the states that had electronic voting machines are the ones with the biggest discrepancies between Exit polls and actual results, in favor of Bush... Add in some rumors that say electronic machines came preloaded with votes already in them... The fact that a huge part of the trucks that transport ballots are Bush supporters, that the voting machine suppliers are Bush campaign contributors... Hmm. Second time there's electronic voting, second time Bush wins with the whole world in disbelief... Those are conspiracy theories, so nothing is sure.. But I'd seriously love for someone to uncover traces of vote fraud or suppression... And see the damn cheater imprisoned :P |
