It's not a they, it's a he! Sometimes he seals off folders from his server if you're biting into his Gunbound bandwidth though, so beware! >=o

Try stealing some things from acmlm! It's fun! Check the NSF, SPC, and GYM folders.

They have Paper Mario mp3s! Awesome!

Edit: Damn! There's only one Paper Mario mp3 I really want and it's the only one (seemingly) they don't have.
It's the menu music. It's essentially the same as the title music except the instrumentation is different.

Still, your link has provided a lot of information, some of which allowed me to get my hands on some Devil May Cry PSF2s. H00rj!

Kiwi: Thanks. That really helped. I'm updating my list now and will continue to as more become available.

Chaos: To tell the truth, Metroid Fusion's music didn't really do it for me. The whole great thing about the Metroid series is the atmosphere, and Fusion didn't grab me like the other ones did.

Metroid Prime is gamecube, so that's going to be a hard one to find mp3s of.

I'll get to Metroid soon enough.
Edit: Got it :)

Made quite a bit of progress today. Man, I wish I could just link all of them for you, but I doubt kiwibonga's server has that much room, someone might threaten to shut the place down, and 95% of the mp3s wouldn't even be touched anyway.

Edit again: I now have a little collection of cool stats in my main post.
Kiwi: I'm starting to think we really need a feature where it deletes all the "edited by" messages, excluding the last. Maybe just a "last edited by, on"
By the time I'm done with this thread, I'll easily have edited my original post 20 times.

Edit another time: I now have exactly 150 mp3s!

F-Zero. Doesn't matter which game, but GX would probably work.

And you don't have Metroid Prime, Metroid Fusion, or NES Metroid? *der gaspen*

the music from Burnout 2 is pretty cool in my opinion. And I'm sure the music from Metal Slug (1 or 2) is worth looking into (although I don't quite remember it).

Did you try other kinds of music formats like SPC (SNES) or NSF (NES), you can make them from utilities that extract the songs from roms or download them directly, and there's plugins for winamp that play them

As for music you could add, Link's awakening on the game boy has pretty cool music... I don't have any other suggestions though..

Yes, I'm a big nerd.

Okay, for a while now I've been collecting wavs and mp3s of my favourite music from video games so I could burn CDs, but today (or maybe yesterday, I'm too tired to remember for sure) I started expanding out.
I'm now trying to collect *all* of my favourite Video Game music.

I've recorded most of them myself, but earlier today (or yesterday) I found a few places with full soundtracks of Symphony of the Night, Perfect Dark, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask. (w00t)

Having a lot of trouble finding Link to the Past mp3s but if I need to I'll record those too. I just don't want to play all the way through the rom again just to record specific parts (I beat it on the console, not on the emulator).

I'm probably asking for trouble by saying this, but does anyone know of any games that have a really great soundtrack, or even games that have just one catchy tune? I'm sure my taste differs from a lot of yours, but I'll try to be open to anything. In any case I don't want anything lyrical (Not even the DK rap in Donkey Kong 64 :p). I generally prefer something melodic and somewhat slow, but I like some action music too. Suggestions?
