08/08/2004 06:51:12AM | Pure genius or design flaw?
It's a smart thing to do, tho, it wouldn't be as scary if all your guns had lightfixtures on them. :P And yes, even in low detail the game is freaking scary... |
08/07/2004 10:10:52PM | I love this thing.... I'm speechless... I've never been so fucking scared, cause it's either the flashlight or the gun, and when you have to switch between the two every time a monster lashes out at you...

| witeasprinwow 08/07/2004 06:24:31PM | I said I would swear off video games for a while. Holy shit I was wrong.
CREEPIEST GAME EVER, your pussy Resident Evil bullshit has nothing on Doom 3... It makes me think back to times where I would stay up till midnight playing the original Doom on my old PC, and then I'd have to turn the computer off and trek through a pitch black house to get to my room, and being scared as shit... This game scares me enough during the daytime! Hyena will like the new cacodemons. |
08/05/2004 07:37:50AM | I was lazy to burn them 3 CD's too. So I used WinIso and unpacked the Bin files to one big Setup Dir on my HD. :D |
08/05/2004 07:22:53AM | My computer can handle pretty much anything, I've only been able to slow it down by playing doom 3 in 1600x1200 resolution, it went down to like 20 FPS on a scene with a lot of 3D models....
Oh yeah, still too tired/lazy to burn Doom 3 :P |
| Angel of Doom 08/05/2004 05:23:15AM | Ah, the curse of old-ish computers. I have to live with the fact my computer cant handle doom 3, City of Heroes, World of Warcraft, and a host of other games I cant play.
But Dammit, Im gonna miss Doom 3 the most. that game looked Damn good. |
| Zyith 08/05/2004 01:36:43AM | Quoting Chaos: As with all other games I'd like to play, my computer sucks too mucg to handle it. Oh well. I'll stick with Doom 2 for now. Them pixels sure are horrifying... Same problem here. My computer is waaaaaaay too old to play it, and I don't really have the cash on hand to upgrade/buy a new one that will run it. |

08/04/2004 10:45:57AM | I have it, I just haven't I can't wait, but I'm too tired to do it now ;p |
08/04/2004 07:30:41AM | Doom? More like Mood! Hahahahah!
...to say the truth, I haven't even passed level 2. The graphics are amazing but too intense for my PC. It loads, it renders, but loading again makes my PC weep for jesus. Still amazing though how otherwise stable the game is. Everything workse if you have the right videocard, and I felt that sense of fear again since the last time I installed Doom 2. They always talk how creepy the insides of the bases are and how horrifying the monsters are, they forgot to mention when you go out on Mars' surface the first time. Something I never felt before in a game. o.O I can't explain it, I have to explore further. If windows won't bomb me to the damn desktop every level change. :D |
