Chaos: I meant one for the computer :P |
09/25/2003 01:56:22AM | Everyone agrees Fusion wasnt as good as Super, but thats what to be expected. Like you said, Super is one of the best games of all time, so its hard to follow that up. No matter what happened, it was going to be compared against Super. But if they had just changed a few things in Fusion, I think it could have been almost as good. If it wasnt so linear, and focused more on the player figuring out what to do instead of some wise-ass computer telling you what to do at every turn. Or at least if you could just skip him instead of being locked into the navagation rooms.
fusion was a good game, but was a lackluster Metroid game. |
| witeasprinwow 09/24/2003 11:17:06PM | Quoting Max: which must be very usefull for everyone that wants to see Samus without her suit on. I don't see any reason for that, so I don't try to get it :P I am VERY disappointed in you. Anyways, yeah, fusion was good, but far from the gaming sexyness that is Super Metroid. Then again, you're comparing the game to a game that's on many "Top 10 best games ever" lists and that a LOT of people find to be thier favorite game of all time, so it's a little harsh to say that it sucks because it pales in comparison. |
09/24/2003 10:18:39PM | A level editor would suck IMO. The only time I like those things is if I can download/upload them from the internet. Otherwise, theres not much of a point if the only one playing your level is yourself.
But yeah, MF was too short. Nothing at all compared to Super. |
09/24/2003 11:11:45AM | Nah, one of them 'I exist hear my story' kinda posts. But I do relate to the fact that Metroid Fusion was SHORT.
Short. Yeh. |
| Angel of Doom 09/24/2003 07:28:57AM | huh... why was this thread made. are you talking about a metroid fusion 2 game? or the second thread relating about metroid fusion? please clarify, as confusing me is none too hard a thing to do. |
| Max 09/24/2003 07:11:04AM | I'm kinda dissapointed. I mean sure, the game was great, like aall the Metroid games, but if a game takes 3 and a half hour to complete the first time you play it I'm not really very happy :P And also, there's like no replay value. Just a small thing that lets you know how many powerups you've collected in one area, which must be very usefull for everyone that wants to see Samus without her suit on. I don't see any reason for that, so I don't try to get it :P
But hey, at least now I can play Metroid 1 over at my cousins place, since he has Metroid Prime :) I hope there comes a level editor for this game sometime, since if it does there will probably be many extremly cool rom hacks out there. |
