But I think maybe what happened is that a hollywood company pulled the old "Find out what they're making and make a similar story and release it first" trick with Fear dot com, as the Ring is supposedly based on an old Japanese movie. (And I saw part of fear dot com and it didn't seem so bad, but then I didn't see the whole thing) If you like movies that scare you in the less traditional sense, see The Ring. It's not a movie about an ugly monster that leaps out when you least expect it and kills three hundred people, it's more about playing with your senses and instilling suspense. It made me afraid of everyday household objects for a few days. |

I've wanted to kill them for *some* of their reviews. Ones that pissed me off the most: 1. Ebert disliked the "Powerpuff Girls" Movie, which is fine. It wasn't that great. But he mentioned that it was based on a kids TV show that had generated an adult fanbase. He said he hopes he never meets one of these adults. Yeah, real smooth, Mr. Steak milkshake. From a bad movie, you condemn the whole TV series and all of its fans. The first Star Trek movie wasn't a good one either. 2. Ebert said "The Ring" was boring. I wanted to kill him. I really wanted to kill him. If one of you would like to yell at me for enjoying the Ring, please start a new thread. |

Also, using gay and fag in the same statement is redundant. Its not so much offending as it is bad use of grammar. And idiocy pisses me off just as uncalled for director bashing.
