| DCB 02/25/2003 11:52:33PM | There should be pics at various sites around the internet. The colors make it look ugly as hell depending on how powered up your suit is in Prime. |
02/25/2003 10:23:07AM | Anyway, back to Metroid. I have to wait till 21 march for Prime...
So has any of you actually seen the Fusion suit in 3D in Prime? |
| TheNintenGenius 02/25/2003 01:07:28AM | Mark Vega brings up a good point, and well made. |
02/24/2003 08:07:03PM | Well, that was loads of fun. Now make a GTA: Vice city thread, over there, please. No, waaay over there. Voice your opinion in the right thread, next time.
*sighs even deeper* |
| Lynn Minmei 02/24/2003 07:26:28PM | No, I just think, overall, Vice City is a better game. I'm not comparing genres, I'm comparing my opinion. And my friggin' opinion says that Vice City is better. You can crap your pants, but don't whine to me how they're different. I know they're two different genres, but they're both games. |
| TheNintenGenius 02/24/2003 05:51:09PM | Yes, thank you for comparing Metroid Prime to Vice City, two games that obviously have nothing to do with each other, could never even be considered in the same category, and lumps you into the same general category of fucktards who like games based on tits and swearing over real, quality gameplay.
I'm not knocking Vice City, mind, but the fact that you consider it better than a game that has nothing to do with Vice City's style of play indicates something, that being you are a fucking moron. |
02/24/2003 09:56:17AM | Ofcourse. We never heard of GTA: Vice city. Thanks for enlighting us so we can lift our heads from our GBA's to see the light. =_=
*sighs* |
02/24/2003 04:27:35AM | Applause |
| TheNintenGenius 02/24/2003 04:13:22AM | Minmei, I hope you don't take offense at this, but at the moment, I want to fucking kill you. |
| Lynn Minmei 02/23/2003 05:19:32PM | Metroid Prime is Alright, but not that great. Now GTA: Vice City on the PS2 is where it's at. A non-linear crime game where the main character is voiced by Ray Liotta. It's a preactically perfect game. And since I grew up in the 80's, I remember the music that's in the game. It's like my childhood suddenly became a lot more violent. Bless it. |
01/28/2003 09:30:21PM | Whoops... I meant on the GBA, sorry...
I still haven't tried Prime, but since the GC here is my brother's and he didn't like it when he played it at his friend's house, I guess I'll have to wait until the price becomes acceptable... |
01/26/2003 03:52:52AM | I think Prime is probably better. But I've only played it once or twice, so hard to say. |
01/26/2003 03:45:05AM | I think it's the best game of 2002... I got stuck once in the game, but I eventually figured it out... It's a masterpiece. |
01/26/2003 02:59:07AM | I like it much better than Metroid 1 and a little better than Metroid 2.
There's a plausible reason why Samus has been weakened, and it makes it really challenging. Which is good because I find most of the Metroid games easy as far as enemies go. What I don't like about it is lack of atmosphere. Super Metroid had oodles. The music I think is a reason for this. Fusion's music is good, but it's not eerie and ominous. However, the parts where you meet the SA-X are pretty scary. Atmosphere does exist, here and there. Another thing I'd like to add is that I got stuck in Metroid Fusion like twenty times and it was really frustrating. |
| TheNintenGenius 01/25/2003 05:41:10PM | Metroid Fusion's probably my least favourite Metroid, all things considered, and this can be because of two main facts.
1) The game is way way WAY too linear. To me, the Metroid series has been all about exploring, and there's just no exploring to be had in Fusion. The computer basically holds your hand the entire trip. 2) Samus has been weakened so much it's frightening. The reason this game is hard is because it only takes about 3 hits to get killed by anything, even the weakest enemy in the game. It also seemingly takes Samus about 50 shots to kill any given enemy with any given weapon. I guess this is the compromise the designers had to make for removing the exploration aspects of the game, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Otherwise, yes, the graphics are pretty, and the fact that Samus can grab onto ledges is nice, and it is a nice game all around. When compared to the other Metroids, though, it quite frankly blows. |
| Lynn Minmei 01/25/2003 04:44:36PM | Despite the fact that everyone's talking about it, Metroid Fusion is a super cool game. You really need to buy this game if you haven't, it has all the updates to the Metroid game engine that you always wanted...and then some. It's a little short, but it's still good while it lasts. |
